The Midlife Threshold is a gently held space for midlife women who sense something within asking to be heard. Each month I share The Remembering, a reflective newsletter weaving story, embodied practice, and a single Power Pause question that invites women to slow down and listen inward. I also co-lead Look Who’s Talking, exploring mental fitness and the inner narratives that shape our lives and leadership. Through coaching, community, and speaking, I create spaces where women reconnect with self-trust, nervous system steadiness, and quiet joy. If your audience values depth over urgency, reflection over performance, and sustainable self-leadership, we may resonate well together. Some seasons ask us to strive. Others ask us to return. When you subscribe below you will receive my Midlife Reset eBook, full of practices and reflections for your journey back to self and in addition, you'll receive my monthly 'The Remembering' note for midlife women navigating this threshold season.
There comes a point in midlife when the external noise becomes too loud to ignore.
Not because life is falling apart.
But because something inside you wants to be heard.
Permission to Thrive exists for women who are ready to examine the inner narratives that have quietly shaped their lives. The stories about who they should be. How they should perform. What they must carry.
For many of us, those stories were learned early. They helped us survive. They helped us belong. They helped us succeed.
And yet, at midlife, some of those same patterns begin to feel tight.
Permission to Thrive is a space where we gently bring those patterns into awareness, not to criticise them, but to understand them.
At the heart of this work is Positive Intelligence, often called PQ.
Mental fitness is the capacity to notice the voice that reacts, criticises, or pushes… and to respond instead from a wiser, steadier part of yourself.
When we strengthen this capacity, we begin to:
• Pause before reacting
• Question automatic assumptions
• Reduce inner self criticism
• Move from pressure into presence
Mental fitness is not about becoming positive all the time.
It is about recognising which inner voice is speaking and choosing which one you want to follow.
That shift changes everything, in work, in relationships, and in how we experience ourselves.
Each month, we explore one inner saboteur through a story you may recognise.
Inside the newsletter, you’ll find:
• A relatable scenario showing how this voice appears
• Three common narratives it uses
• The original protective role it once served
• A short sensory practice to help you respond with clarity
This is not theory for theory’s sake.
It’s applied self awareness.
If you’re curious about the conversations happening inside your own mind, you’re welcome to join us.
We’ll meet you there.

Alongside co-founding Permission to Thrive, I’m a Change Strategist with decades of coaching experience. I help midlife women step into change with clarity, confidence and a plan that feels spacious rather than overwhelming. Clients often tell me our work is “liberating” and “transformational”, the first time they’ve felt truly understood as they build something new for themselves. If you’re ready to explore what’s next and you’d like a partner and a community who really get it, I’d love to connect. Your next chapter isn’t just waiting; it’s ready to be created.
